Milpitas HS Sophomore QB earns USA Football/Max Preps HS Girls Player of the Week

Bren David, a standout sophomore from Milpitas High School (Calif.), has been named the USA Football/MaxPreps Girls High School Flag Football Player of the Week for Oct. 21–27. David led the Trojans to an impressive 4-0 record, securing victories over Mountain View, Wilcox, Monta Vista, and Los Gatos.

Milpitas dominated offensively, scoring over 30 points in all four games while outscoring opponents 138-42. David played a pivotal role in this success, completing 50 of 77 pass attempts for 832 yards and 14 touchdowns—without a single interception. She also showcased her versatility by rushing for 395 yards and five touchdowns on 25 carries and adding a 38-yard touchdown reception against Monta Vista.

Her top receiving target, junior Elly Miller Rodriquez, also delivered a stellar performance with 20 catches for 449 yards and eight touchdowns. In a hard-fought 34-28 win over Los Gatos—who had previously allowed under eight points per game—Miller Rodriquez hauled in six receptions for 125 yards and two touchdowns from David.
