Matt Robbins is the camp director for the Milpitas High School Flag Football Camp Sponsored by USA Flag, bringing over two decades of passion and experience in both playing and coaching flag football. Matt is currently in his third year coaching the Milpitas High School Trojans Varsity Girls Flag Football team, where the team became tri-champions of the SCVAL league last year. Under his leadership, quarterback Bren David was recognized nationally as MaxPreps Player of the Week, an achievement that drew media attention on Bay Area TV and radio.
A former quarterback for Merced High School, Matt has been deeply involved in flag football since 1997, both as a player and coach. He has coached youth sports since 2015 and is dedicated to creating a positive, affirming, and fun atmosphere where young athletes can grow both on and off the field. His approach emphasizes developing athletic skills as well as important life skills such as giving and receiving constructive feedback, building self-confidence, teamwork, focus, resilience, and the value of hard work.
Matt is also a proud father of three, with his oldest daughter, Hannah, playing on the Milpitas High School team. Outside of coaching, Matt serves as the Senior Pastor at C3 Church in Milpitas and is a huge San Francisco 49ers fan. His goal as a coach and camp director is to inspire young athletes to thrive, have fun, and develop not only as players but as well-rounded individuals.
